The Salutation Inn is nestled in the hamlet of The Gibb in the beautiful Cotswolds close to the historic village of Castle Combe and to the famous Castle Combe Race Circuit.
David and Eva took over this 17th century inn at the end of May 2012 and they are striving to bring it back to its full glory.
Dave is an experienced Head Chef previously working at well-known establishments throughout the area, which has given him the knowledge to create great food from fresh seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers. Dave has a great passion for his work and creates food that not only looks beautiful but has amazing taste combinations. All the food served is created in the kitchen by Dave and his team.
Eva is a wonderful host and you can be sure of a warm, friendly welcome from her and her team, whether you pop in for a drink or to sample the fine food on offer. Eva has developed her knowledge of wine throughout her career in the hospitality trade and has succeeded in producing a good wine list from a variety of countries - you will find just the right thing to accompany your food choice.
A la carte and a ‘Simply British’ menu served daily, sandwiches at lunch time and traditional Sunday roast every Sunday.
The Salutation has a large restaurant which was originally a tythe barn with a beamed ceiling and a great ambience. The bar area is spacious and there is plenty of room to eat informally.
There are large gardens to the front and back of the premises and we are a dog-friendly establishment with ample parking.
